Victoriam

Victoriam is a small city of roughly 90,000 inhabitants located in the north-eastern part of North Island, Helion.

It was originally founded by Albaniran colonists, and along Northelia (the biggest city in North Island), Inyur, Tracian, and Sophian have a pretty characteristic post-colonial architecture. Although, a large number of modern apartment complexes have been built close to the downtown district of the city, giving it a mixed look in that regard.

The city has an oceanic climate, presenting mild and wet summers with cold and wet winters, causing overcast days most of the year and frequent precipitation. Flanked by beautiful and dense temperate rainforests to the east and west, Victoriam’s main economic focus used to be the woodcutting industry, but this came to an end after Helion’s government passed a law to protect most of the green zones of the country. The city’s growth slowed down after this, but it’s still on the rise. Since then, the economic focus was switched to a more cultural one, and Victoriam currently holds the honor of having some of the better schools, theaters, galleries, seafood restaurants ,and one of the best medical universities of Helion.

Despite the beauty of the city and its surroundings, Victoriam isn’t a tourist destination because of its calm attitude and limited accessibility worldwide. Thus, it’s better known as a place to enjoy a quiet life between verdant hills, stunning forests, and the Arkandik ocean to the north, by the silent beach of Valeth.
